For my Visual Effects class, I was tasked with creating two short compositions in Adobe After Effects that demonstrate the parallax effect. This is when objects closer to the viewpoint appear to be moving faster than objects farther away from the same viewpoint.
In the example on the right, you can see that the telephone pole in the foreground appears to be moving much faster than the mountains in the background. Similarly, I used parallax zoom in the example on the left to make it feel as thought the viewer is moving through space.
