MDA (Mechanics, Dynamics, & Aesthetics

Mechanics:
– Player can move the spaceship in any direction in 3D space
– Player can shoot lasers at enemies
– Goal is for the player to survive as long as possible in order to set a new high score on the leaderboard

Dynamics:
– The score increases slowly over time
– All ships (player and enemies) take damage when hit by a laser
– All ships get destroyed when they take more damage than the amount of health they have
– Game ends when the player ship gets destroyed
– Players can interact with powerups such as forcefields, missiles, health restoration, etc.

Aesthetics:
– The player should feel like it is fun to move through space with the ship. Even without enemies, powerups, or other mechanics, just moving through the game world should feel fun for the player.
– Addictive quality to the game with short, repetitive runs. The player should want to start a new game as soon as the first one ends.
